The Great Smoky Mountains are known for many things, one of the most popular being our impeccable taste for the finer things- amazing food, live music, and alcohol. From beer brewin' to moonshine distillin', we have it all. Gatlinburg, located in East Tennessee is the home to many of these unique breweries and distilleries, just waiting for you to come give them a taste!

Alongside our local experts have come a wave of people who want to see what all the fuss is about- making our local breweries and distilleries a main attraction of our little mountain town. We have the best craft beer, seasonal beers, refreshing ciders, shines, and whiskeys. Whatever you're looking for to satisfy you thirst, Gatlinburg has it all. To make things easier for you, below is a short list of some of the most popular breweries in Gatlinburg, as well as a review of what we thought when we went to check them out. You'll be dying for a sip of cider, or our famous craft beers by the end of it!

One thing about our Gatlinburg breweries that many visitors don't know is that due to the limited space in Gatlinburg, most of our beers and moonshines are mass-brewed locally in areas like Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. This is great because it has encouraged multiple locations of many of the best breweries to open up throughout the connecting towns. So, no matter where you are during your Smoky Mountain vacation, we will have some great options for you to try!

Gatlinburg Brewing Company

The Gatlinburg Brewing Company, my personal favorite of the breweries we visited, is conveniently located on the split of the main Parkway and East Parkway in Gatlinburg Tennessee beside light #3. This location doesn't brew on-site, however, they do feature a wide and delicious variety of craft beer on tap, including a seasonal pumpkin cider. In addition to a delicious pizza and some great craft brews, we enjoyed looking out of the vast windows that line the outside of the building.

Due to the convenient location of this brewery, the round building overlooks a very pretty portion of downtown Gatlinburg, allowing customers to get a feel for where they'd like to walk next. Luckily, in this part of town, you are a perfect walking distance to all the fun things to do in Gatlinburg. This is certainly one to add to your list of craft beer breweries to try!

Tennessee Stud Cider Company

Of the few cider companies we stumbled across in Gatlinburg, one seemed to stand out in a very classy and elegant way. That was the Tennessee Stud Cider company, which we actually learned is a Yee Haw Brewing location. With their advertisement of 3 free tastings, we were drawn inside to taste some of the best ciders and creams we've had around here. Luckily they featured a range of options to sample including 7 ciders and 5 creams. This location is very beautiful inside, and has a wonderful staff that is very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing your favorite hand-crafted cider! If just 3 tastings aren't enough for you, this location also offers 10 samples for $5.

Everyone is allowed to have 3 free tastings, however, for just $5 you get the V.I.P tasting which includes a taste of all of the ciders they have on tap.
